Short Visiting Fellowship Program

2010-01-28

INSIDE offers a limited number of Visiting Research Fellowships each year, aimed at supporting advanced research on migration and development while visiting the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC) or the research institute MOVE (Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics) in Barcelona for a period of two to six months. Visiting Research Fellows are awarded a monthly lump-sum to complement their home institution salary plus accommodation expenses while visiting INSIDE. They will have access to a fully equipped office, as well as to all our academic and institutional infrastructures. Fellowships must be held in residence at the IAE-CSIC or MOVE.

We welcome as well self-funded scholars who would like to spend time at the IAE-CSIC or MOVE and take advantage of the vibrant Barcelona research environment.

The Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE) is a research center of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). Recent rankings recognize the IAE as a leading European research institution. We are also a founding partner of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.

MOVE (Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics) is a new research institute in the field of Economics, based at the Bellaterra campus of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. MOVE conducts high quality research in the areas of Mechanism Design, Quantitative Economics and the Economics of Science and Innovation. MOVE aims at contributing actively to the shared vision of consolidating Barcelona as a capital of European economic research, and as a world pole of attraction for international students and researchers.

Fellowships will be awarded on a competitive basis. To apply, please send info@inside.org.es a brief description of the research project you plan to work on while visiting the IAE-CSIC or MOVE and your CV, stating the length and preferred dates for your stay and whether you are applying for a Short Visiting Fellowship or a self-funded scholar visit.
